Long-time Chenango Contracting employee and supervisor Joey Randall is Chenango’s own Marathon Man. On Monday, April 16, he ran the prestigious Boston Marathon. Out of 21,554 who finished the race, Randall finished 2,536 overall. “My time was 3:26:08, about 12 minutes slower than I was hoping for, but the pros were 7 to 10 minutes slower than last year.” Randall said. The uncharacteristically warm spring weather didn’t take a break on race day either with temps nearing a steamy 90 degrees. “The heat was a brutal 89 degrees when I finished.” Randall commented. “I tried to start conservative but it still hit me hard at the end.” he added. All in all, the experience was a positive one for Randall. “It was a great experience. The people of Boston were out in big numbers and it was great all weekend.” he reflected.
